One hopes that either Bossuet is prompt about closing the door, or the kittens are sufficiently distracted to not attempt further exploration just yet. Enjolras can remember to close doors against feline escape if requested to do so, but he hasn't noticed the necessity of it yet. Nor, in fact, noticed the presence of kittens at all.
